Multimodal Treatment Project

The Anna Freud Centre and the Marlborough Family Service, in association with linked adolescent services and University College London, are pleased to announce the development of a community-based integrative, multimodal treatment project for adolescents and young adults with severe psychiatric disturbance.

Specifically for young people aged 15-21 with severe mental health disorders, the project is a home-based service for those normally requiring in-patient treatment.

Funded by The John Lyon's Charity, the Centre has led on the development of a training programme for key workers to support young people and their families at home.

The project aims to prevent the revolving door of removal to hospital of the young person from his or her home followed by a relapse on their return.

The Anna Freud Centre also offers training in community-based multimodal treatment for adolescents and and young adults with severe psychiatric disturbances.
